ERC (European Rover Challenge) is organized by European Space Foundation and European Space Agency in Poland every summer. ERC is a competition that encourage college students to generate new innovative ideas and create a new design for new generation rovers that are going to explore the Mars. In during the competition, rovers aim to do some duties and they try to collect more points on duties. There are variety of duties, for sample return task sample data collection, for terrain traversing task semiautonomous drive, for astronaut assistance task emergency repairs, for equipment servicing task reactions and the last one is presentation that is made by group members to juries.

The University Rover Challenge (URC) is the world’s premier robotics competition for college students.  Held annually in the desert of southern Utah in the United States, URC challenges student teams to design and build the next generation of Mars rovers that will one day work alongside astronauts exploring the Red Planet.
