Ozyegin University (OzU) Rover Team is the only student driven team that specialises on space robotics from Turkey. The team aims to raise awareness about space engineering and prepare future engineers for the field. OzU Rover Team developed its first prototype, Merih-1, in 2014-2015 and competed at European Rover Challenge in 2015. With the experience and motivation gained from the competition, team started to work on Merih-2 in September, 2015 without losing time to build a better rover. Merih-2 has been developed by 19 enthusiastic and goal-driven undergraduate students from different programs at Ozyegin University including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Industrial Design under the supervision of Assist. Prof Dr. Ozkan Bebek, co-director of OzU Robotics Lab. Merih-2 has competed at European Rover Challenge in 2016.
